Dr Muralikrishnan R Kartha is a Senior Research Fellow (Health Economics), who has been working with King’s Health Economics since 2013. Before joining King’s, he worked as a health economist with the National Institute of Health Research Collaboration (NIHR) Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC), University of Cambridge.
He has a PhD in Health Economics from the UNSW Business School, Sydney and a master's in Health Services Management from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. In 2009, he was the recipient of the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship, from The Nippon Foundation and Tokyo Foundation of Policy Research. Muralikrishnan has significant experience in economic evaluation, mainly in the area of mental health and ophthalmology. He also has extensive expertise in undertaking guidance assessments and reviews for National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Medical Technologies Evaluation Programme and Diagnostic Assessment Programmes.
